Should i keep a friend that i'm not sure about when i go to college?

sometimes he acts like my friend but a lot of the time he makes me feel like a complete imbecile and that he's so much "smarter" than i am plus he can be quite a spaz.. should i still be friends with him after i go to college or only be friends with people i know are my true friends
