Is this guy an imbecile or what?

He's a top student of science from his Junior high. During one of our conversations relating physics, I use the term centripetal force. This kid has no idea what it is and thinks I just made it up! Now he's calling me insulting names and other weak minded individuals under his influence have taken it upon them to insult me as well. Is this guy a genius or what?
