IS HAWAII A GOOD PLACE TO LIVE AND TO STUDY?

i was born in New York and when i was 6 i moved to Peru. since i came back to US i have dreamed of leaving in Hawaii because i am a surfer but i don't know if it is a good place to find jobs and to study in a university? PLEASE HELP!
