Surfers- Do you think I can do it?

So I love Bethany Hamilton so much, she is my inspiration and ever since I herd about her in 2004 I wanted to try to surf. After I watched Soul Surfer in theaters I want to now Soooo bad! Theres a problem, im landlocked and Cant surf! I might go on vacation to Erie PA this summer and I herd its possible to surf there.... will the swell be big enough for me to try surfing? ( Well ide only surf whitewater. ) I made a homemade Indo board and am improving on balance everyday... do you think if I go to Erie and try Ill be able to stand up on a wave within one or two days? I really am dedicated to get my balance good so I can do it.. its a one time thing and looks like SO MUCH FUN! Is there a chance I can do it? Haha.. thanks!
